Alexis Franks , MD, FAAP

Biography

Dr. Franks is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Child Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  She graduated from medical school at the University of Colorado before completing her Neurodevelopmental Disabilities residency training program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.  Her clinical focus is the care of children with neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic conditions, and her research interests include neurodevelopmental outcomes after perinatal exposure to cannabinoids and glucocorticoids.

 

Dr. Franks is a member of the American Medical Association, the Child Neurology Society, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and the Society for Neuroscience.
